Résumé
In an environment shaped by recent IFRS standards and a new framework around value management, where financial aspects are crucial, our client is looking for a Value Management Expert. This role requires a metric interpretation of data, expertise in asset and liability management, as well as the ability to interpret numbers from a "helicopter view" for strategic purposes.
Position:
As part of the financial planning management team, you will play a key role in monitoring and developing the company’s financial health through risk management measures and financial economic information, particularly including IFRS results.
Your main tasks include:
- Interpreting the company's financial results, particularly IFRS, from a strategic perspective and linking the outcomes of various standards to support decision-making based on these results. In doing so, you analyze observations to identify the economic reality behind them.
- Analyzing observations to determine the underlying economic truth and providing critical insights on potential improvements to calculation methods.
- Contributing to the development or determination of new parameters and measures within the framework of value management that play a role in the company’s strategy.
- Participating in the evaluation and monitoring of the strategy of various business lines, including drafting action plans to mitigate and prevent identified financial risks or deficiencies.
- Formulating advice and recommendations on decisions with a significant impact on how the company interprets and uses financial metrics in value management.
- Contributing to the production and continuous improvement of departmental reports by developing and maintaining decision-making support tools.
- Participating in the verification and validation of the metrics used and the underlying calculation methods.
- Conducting ad hoc analyses and formulating opinions and positions.
Required Profile:
- You enjoy initiating contact with people and can demonstrate assertiveness.
- You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Engineering, or Actuarial Science, with an affinity for quantitative aspects, or have equivalent experience.
- You have experience in insurance and risk management.
- You enjoy teamwork while being highly autonomous in delivering your outputs.
- You have a quantitative mindset with strong mathematical skills, but you can also think more broadly and strategically in economic terms.
- Proficiency in Excel and other basic Microsoft tools is essential.
- Your native language is French or Dutch, and you have a good command of the second national language in addition to English.
