Job Description
Our client, an insurance company is looking for a Life EB Reporting Actuary to strengthen the EB Department. He·she will be in charge of reporting on the analysis of key drivers of value creation (BGAAP and IFRS) and implementing controls and processes in response to the changing environment.
The Life EB Reporting Actuary will be responsible for:
- Contributing to regular BGAAP and IFRS reporting, as well as to the analysis of key drivers in “profit by sources” and accounting affiliation.
- Integrating product developments and reporting requirements into existing reports, as well as optimising existing processes. This also includes documenting them, identifying risks and developing controls.
- Contributing to the running of the project as regards the Risk Management area of responsibility (drafting requirements, tests, support tools, etc.).
Profile
- Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or any other quantitative field.
- Experience of life insurance/reinsurance and its accounting implications, and familiar with actuarial calculations and models. Experience with IFRS17 and Solvency 2 is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Excel and SAS.
- Good analytical mind and able to think independently.
- Ability to stand back and analyse the big picture and think strategically, while at the same time being hands-on enough to implement strategies effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Willing to dive into technical systems, their operational functioning and accounting links.
- Team player, flexible and willing to work in different locations.
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English.
