Our client, an insurance company, is looking for an Actuarial Function Holder to provide an integrated quantitative view of the company's risk profile, support strategic decision-making, and strengthen the alignment between risk management, solvency, financial performance, and business strategy.

He/she will be in charge of the following tasks :

• Assess and monitor company’s risk profile against its risk appetite framework.
• Analyze and interpret actuarial models, assumptions, sensitivities, and stress scenarios to understand their long-term impacts.
• Produce and present Solvency II reporting to the various governance bodies within the company.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of a robust and effective risk management framework.
• Participate in the assessment and monitoring of business strategy, particularly through the analysis of action plans designed to mitigate key risks.
• Provide independent opinions and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Actively contribute to the ORSA (Own Risk and Solvency Assessment) process.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and provide insights, advice, and recommendations to management and governance bodies.

PROFILE

• You have at least 8 years of proven experience in risk management or a related field (actuarial, finance, ALM, or similar).
• You are comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders and demonstrate assertiveness, diplomacy, and strong communication skills.
• You have the ability to act as a credible, constructive, and appropriately challenging business partner.
• You have hands-on experience coordinating cross-functional activities involving multiple departments.
• You enjoy working collaboratively while maintaining autonomy in managing your responsibilities.
• You are capable of handling complex topics and driving them through to completion.
• Your native language is either French or Dutch, and you have a good command of the other national language as well as English.

• Supporting and engaging with clients by leading projects in all aspects of actuarial work including Pricing, Model Development, Capital Management, Reserving and Reporting.
• Working on the development of the business and building client relations.
• Leading project teams, managing the work of other team members, reviewing the quality and progress to ensure timely and accurate delivery to the client.
• Contribute to the development of the company’s intellectual capital including plans for taking this to market.
• Leveraging knowledge through training, development and mentoring of other colleagues within the company.

• Actuarial consulting and/or relevant technical and managerial experience.
• 5+years of relevant working experience in Belgian (non-)life insurance, risk and/or balance sheet management.
• Actuarial or technical studies background.
• Fellow of the IA|BE or a similar association.
• Energetic, intelligent and self-motivated.
• Entrepreneurial, able to maintain and develop client relations.
• Effective communication skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Dutch, French is a plus.

Le·a futur·e Consultant·e en Actuariat sera responsable des tâches suivantes :

• ALM

• Modélisation : développements & revue de modèles de gestion actif/passif (Moses/Prophet), revue d’allocation stratégique d’actifs
• Gestion des risques : ORSA / Stress test / Risk Appetite
• IFRS 17: études d’impacts sur les choix normatifs, calibrage du Risk Adjustment

• Santé & Prévoyance

• Pilotage technique : calcul de provisions multinormes, suivi de la rentabilité par portefeuille, établissement de compte de résultats/PB

Profile

• Issu·e de formation actuaire ou équivalente
• Minimum 3 ans d’expérience en ALM ou Santé & Prévoyance
• Une maitrise des techniques actuarielles
• Très bonne connaissance des normes IFRS 17 et Solvabilité 2
• Appétence pour la modélisation
