Our client, an insurance company, is looking for a Lead P&C Underwriter, with a focus on the travel business, working in an international environment and contributing to the commercial success of a dynamic team. He/she will act as a key expert in underwriting, supporting strategy, profitability, risk assessment, pricing, and product governance for a B2B2C portfolio (device protection, cyber, health, mobility), while collaborating with actuarial, pricing, product, distribution, and claims teams and reporting to the Global Head of Pricing and Underwriting.

He/she will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Pricing Management: managing pricing for international tenders, including risk assessment, modeling, and offer design with Sales teams

• Commercial Support: presenting pricing, profitability, and risk insights to committees and partners

• Tools & Standardization: developing and standardizing pricing tools and methodologies across business lines

• Underwriting Control: validating local pricing and steering actions on unprofitable accounts

• Profitability Steering: defining pricing adjustments and profitability levers with Group entities (including the Irish branch)

• Business Support: supporting Sales teams in performance reviews and annual business discussions

• Product & Compliance: contributing to product development, catalogue standardization, and POG compliance

• Data & Governance: improving data quality, governance, and pricing foundations with Data/IT teams

• Automation & Reporting: supporting automation of dashboards, pipelines, and reporting for pricing and profitability steering

 

Profil

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or related field

• 7–10 years of experience in property & casualty insurance underwriting

• Strong technical background in actuarial science or insurance

• Good level of English (Group working language)

• Organized and autonomous, able to manage multiple topics simultaneously

• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences

• Proactive, curious, and relationship-oriented mindset

• Comfortable working in an international environment and collaborating with commercial teams and external partners
