• You will monitor/steer the financials of the Life business, proactively initiating ad-hoc analyses & deep-dives on any areas of the portfolio exhibiting deviations vs plan.
• You will have Transversal (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) steering of the company’s Life KPIs, in particular IFRS17 P&L, IFRS17 CSM, New Business Margins, and Return-on-Equity.

• You will be producing the Life section of the “Planning Dialogue”, the annual exercise undertaken with the business and the Group shareholder in order to construct the financial plan.
• You must be comfortable articulating & explaining the differences in balance sheet and P&L between the various applicable accounting norms (IFRS17, Solvency II, local GAAP) and understand the business implications of the accounting choices taken.
• You will need to drive the continuous refinement, automation, simplification of the various reporting processes in your scope.

The IFRS17 Life Actuary will be responsible for:

• Acquiring a good understanding of the IFRS17 accounting standards to analyze and comprehend the Balance Sheet and Income Statement of a life insurance company.
• Producing IFRS17 accounts as part of the closing exercises and forecast exercises (strategic plan) of the group.
