Job Description

Our client is looking for a Life & Health Actuarial Manager to strengthen the Market Department. He·she will be responsible for driving the marketing and pricing offer and for defining and achieving the objectives of the department under his·her responsibility, supported by two teams.

The future Head of Life & Health Actuarial will be responsible for the following tasks

  • Defining the product marketing plan in line with the Market strategy
  • Take charge of the design or development of products from an offer point of view: definition of targets, guarantees, customer path, etc.
  • Liaise with the development department for the implementation and monitoring of distribution
  • Monitoring the profitability of the portfolio: accounts by product, pricing policy, etc.
  • Pricing of new offers and changes to the offer
  • Sharing of studies produced with other teams in the individual market and with teams in other markets (Finance, Development, Management).
  • Preparing and participating in the various market steering bodies (market committees, offer committees, etc.)
  • Operational monitoring of the offer: link with distribution, management and IS impacts
  • Management
  • Control of the environment in order to be a force for proposal in the evolution of the scope, contribution to the construction of change management plans and their operational implementation
  • Driving change, supporting the development of the skills of his/her teams and proposing to the Management and HRD the training plan for the departments under his/her responsibility
  • Managing direct employees in accordance with the Group's HR policy: involving them in discussions, motivating them to achieve their objectives and carrying out their annual performance review.



  •  Bac+5 in Engineering, Business or Actuarial school, with a specialisation in Actuarial Science or Statistics
  • At least 10 years' experience in health or provident fund actuarial work. Knowledge of borrowers would be a plus.
  • A previous experience in team management 
  • Excellent knowledge of SAS and PowerBI software and comfortable with office tools (Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills combined with a critical mind
  • Proactivity, dynamism and strength of proposal
  • Good interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to explain things in simple terms
  • Highly appreciative of teamwork
  • Excellent command of French
