Our client, an international insurance company, is looking for a Senior Data Science Actuary to support the Finance and Data solution’s team.  

He/she will be in charge of the following tasks : 

• Serve as the technical lead for the Finance Data Hub, providing guidance and direction on data architecture and engineering best practices.
• Design, develop, and optimize our data architecture to support various accounting initiatives, such as financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, BI analysts, IT experts, and data scientists, to deliver integrated data solutions that meet business needs.
• Utilize data automation tools like Wherescape or DBT to streamline data integration processes and improve data quality and consistency.
• Leverage cloud technologies, particularly ADP and Snowflake, to enhance the scalability and performance of our data infrastructure.
• Implement data vault modelling techniques to ensure data accuracy, historical tracking, and auditability.

Profil

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on data architecture and optimization.
• Proficiency in data vault modelling and data automation tools such as WhereScape or DBT.
• Strong cloud knowledge, with experience in Azure and Snowflake (preferred).
• Solid understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data quality management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• You are allowed to work in the Netherlands or Belgium, by being a European Citizen or by having a work permit.
