Our client, an international insurance company, is looking for a Senior Data Science Actuary to support the Finance and Data solution’s team.
He/she will be in charge of the following tasks :
- Serve as the technical lead for the Finance Data Hub, providing guidance and direction on data architecture and engineering best practices.
- Design, develop, and optimize our data architecture to support various accounting initiatives, such as financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, BI analysts, IT experts, and data scientists, to deliver integrated data solutions that meet business needs.
- Utilize data automation tools like Wherescape or DBT to streamline data integration processes and improve data quality and consistency.
- Leverage cloud technologies, particularly ADP and Snowflake, to enhance the scalability and performance of our data infrastructure.

He/she will be in charge of the following tasks :
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts and analyse the various outlooks. Understand, monitor and analyse all costs within the company, through dialog with the budget owners.
- Analyse, reports that the accounting system generates and other data to identify trends, issues, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical support in negotiating the defined, quotes, guidelines, terms and conditions with national brokers & accounts. A close interaction with the Sales Department is needed to develop the business in a profitable way.
- Regularly monitor business performance at various levels (product, broker, contract). Identify areas of improvements and concerns in business operational areas and provide appropriate strategies to resolve them.
- Support managers and staff on financial issues, such as budgeting, cost control and financial planning.

Our client, an insurance company, is looking for an Actuary who will be responsible for determining the required premium for existing and new products, monitoring profitability, and calculating GAAP and IFRS reserves.
To do this, the Actuary will use statistical methods to analyze claims and portfolio developments and actuarial software to estimate future developments. The recruit will work as part of a dynamic and motivated actuarial team, but he/she will also work closely with other colleagues within the company.
More specifically, the Actuary will contribute to the following tasks :
- Determining the premium for new individual and group products.
- Making recommendations to adjust premiums for existing products.
- Monitoring the profitability of products and the portfolio.
- Calculating provisions on the basis of various technical parameters and explaining changes.

Our client, an insurance company is looking for a Life EB Reporting Actuary to strengthen the EB Department. He·she will be in charge of reporting on the analysis of key drivers of value creation (BGAAP and IFRS) and implementing controls and processes in response to the changing environment.
The Life EB Reporting Actuary will be responsible for:
- Contributing to regular BGAAP and IFRS reporting, as well as to the analysis of key drivers in “profit by sources” and accounting affiliation.
- Integrating product developments and reporting requirements into existing reports, as well as optimising existing processes. This also includes documenting them, identifying risks and developing controls.
- Contributing to the running of the project as regards the Risk Management area of responsibility (drafting requirements, tests, support tools, etc.).
Profile
- Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or any other quantitative field.
- Experience of life insurance/reinsurance and its accounting implications, and familiar with actuarial calculations and models. Experience with IFRS17 and Solvency 2 is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Excel and SAS.

The Actuary will be responsible for the following tasks, depending on his/her field of preference:
- EB:
- To give technical assistance and advice to pension funds, employers and insurance companies.
- To follow-up on the Belgian and EU pension environment/legislation (IORP II).
- To handle the actuarial management of pension plans.
- To support the appointed actuary for pension funds (OFP’s).
- To evaluate pension plans according to international standards.
- Life/Non-Life:
- To give technical assistance and advice to insurance companies mainly in the Life/Non-Life field.
- To follow-up and be knowledgeable in Solvency II and, preferably, IFRS 17.
