Job Description

Our client, an insurance company is looking for a Business Data Scientist to strengthen the Actuarial Department. He·she will be in charge of  the Datamart, and analyses. 

The Business Data Scientist will be responsible for  :

DATAMART

• Finalising the implementation of the Datamart (integrate new data while controlling their quality, implement the Slowly Changing Dimension, etc.)
• Mastering the structure and data, their business interpretation, and the underlying reporting
• The daily data management (error logs, automatic reports, sending data to the Group, etc.)
• Participating actively in the implementation of IFRS 17 with the Group (creation of a harmonised DWH, data required for the models, etc.)

ANALYSES

• Understanding and anticipating the division's needs in terms of business analysis and reporting.  Creating adequate reports, with a focus on data visualisation (implement a visualisation tool: SAS VA and/or Power BI).  Ensuring automation of reports.
• Providing statistics and analyses of the business to key departments (Commercial, Risk, Claims, Collection) by documenting results and their evolution.
• The development and monitoring of various statistical models: internal model in the context of Solvency, scoring models (PoD, LGD), ...

Profile

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences, etc.
• At least 3 years of professional experience.
• At ease with data interpretation and statistics.
• A first professional experience in creating and maintaining a database / writing ETL is necessary.
• Advanced knowledge of SAS software: SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Management Console.
