Résumé
Our client, a Belgian Insurance Company, is looking for a Financial Risk Actuary to support the Risk Department.
The main responsibilities include:
- Analysis and Monitoring: You will identify, measure, and monitor financial risks (market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, etc.) in line with Solvency II regulations and internal policies.
- Reporting: You will prepare reports on financial risks for internal stakeholders (management, board of directors) and external parties (regulatory authorities).
- Modeling and Stress Testing: You will develop and use financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios (e.g., stress tests, sensitivity analyses) on the company’s solvency and liquidity.
- Policy Development: You will contribute to the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaboration: You will work closely with other departments (e.g., Investments, Actuarial, Compliance) to ensure an integrated approach to risk management.
- Market Monitoring: You will stay informed about market developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial risk management.
Profile
- Master’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial risk management, preferably in the insurance or banking sector.
- To have a strong understanding of financial instruments, markets, and Solvency II regulations.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis and have experience with risk modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python, or similar). .
- Fluency in Dutch and/or French is required, with a good command of English.
