Job Description

Our client, an insurance company is looking for an Underwriting EB Actuary to strengthen the EB Department. He·she will be in charge of driving the profitability of the business unit and managing insurance risks by enabling the underwriters to make informed decisions.  

The Underwriting EB Actuary will be responsible for:  

• Analysing data, producing actuarial studies on relevant topics, developing decision-making tools and dashboards,
• Interpreting the results obtained and providing alternatives after analysing their impact on the financial objectives of the company,
• Verifying that quotation requests are complete and conform to business standards and EB department operational rules, to calculate very complex quotations (with high financial impact),
• Developing a price offer based on the technical tools for requests that do not comply with the above standards, with the aim of having certain requests accepted and priced,
• Communicating quotation requests requiring a decision to an Underwriter to give the appropriate follow-up,
• Assuming actuarial calculations linked to a client request and elaborating technical reporting.

Profile

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or equivalent,
• Minimum one year of experience,
• Ability to maintain systems and tools used, ensuring they are actuarially correct,
• Ability to work on the basis of specific requests or under the guidance of experienced actuaries.
