Job Description
Our client, an insurance company is looking for a Senior Actuarial Data Scientist to strengthen the Global Data Analytics & AI Department. He/she will be in charge of developing prototypes, creating a business approach, and laying the groundwork for future developments for all Data Science activities of the Group. The Senior Actuarial Data Scientist will be responsible for a range of data-related tasks:
- Conduct data analysis and statistical studies to validate assumptions and refine model parameters.
- Engage in statistical analysis and machine learning within the context of risk management, focusing on insurance credit risk.
- Explore new algorithms to enhance predictive modeling, segmentation, forecasting, and optimization processes.
- Create rapid prototypes to validate various use cases.
- Collaborate with team members to discuss research findings and insights, presenting your work to stakeholders.
- Document your work through comprehensive reports, annotated code, and other related project artifacts.
Key responsibilities also include:
- Implement, test, and maintain predictive models.
- Oversee the integration of new algorithms into operational processes, monitor performance, and strive for continuous improvement.
- Develop specialized tools, processes, and data visualizations to ensure high-quality service delivery and measure business impact.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Actuarial Science
- At least 3 years of experience.
- Knowledge of Non-life modelling especially for regulatory of pricing purposes OR in Financial Modelling
- Excellent knowledge or experience working with Python
- Ability to structure Data and use them to generate business opportunities
- Ability in the use of descriptive statistics, applied mathematics and predictive analytics.
