Job Description

Our client, an insurance company, is looking for a Senior Employee Benefits Pricing Actuary to support the financial and actuarial department.

He/she will be in charge of the following tasks :

  • Lead actuarial pricing initiatives for Employee Benefits (EB) and self-employed insurance solutions, leveraging advanced modelling tools (R3S for cash flow projections, R/Python for analytics) to ensure competitive, profitable products.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and Data teams to build and refine actuarial models.
  • Monitor product profitability, proactively proposing enhancements in line with market and regulatory developments.
  • Present key insights and defend assumptions to commercial teams, risk functions, and internal governance bodies with communication adapted according to the audience.
  • Drive innovation by integrating new methodologies and improving modelling processes, enhancing both technical sophistication and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor junior team members, foster a collaborative environment, and contribute actively to cross-functional projects and initiatives.

 

Profile

  • Master’s degree in actuarial science or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience, ideally in Employee Benefits, pensions, or self-employed products.
  • Strong command of actuarial modelling tools (R3S, Prophet) and programming languages (R and/or Python).
  • Knowledge of reporting standards such as Solvency II and IFRS17 is an advantage.
  • Ability to translate complex actuarial findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Proactive, assertive, and resilient, with a true “first-line” business mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
  • Professional fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Dutch is a significant asset.
